Katsumata Series A

TheKatsumata Series A is our homage to classic Sci-Fi film Blade Runner. Inspired by the main character’s service pistol, this knife has been dreamed up as a realistic, of the period, practical blade that could have been in this movie.

The Blade Runner film was set in the then futuristic time period of 2019, making it of the current time period. This lead us a lot in terms of the design; current thinking, methodology and material science would fit the build. The Katsumata Series A is therefore a Pikal knife, which in our opinion represents the best methodology for defensive fixed blades. Ground from thick stock 80Crv2, it is a single edge knife with a swedge to aid penetration without compromising on the point integrity. The futuristic handle material matches that of the Pistol. Ultem 1000 is a heat stabile, chemical resistant Amber coloured material which at the time of the film was quite space age, for the Katsumata Series A we have shaped the removable handle scales and polished them in a minimalist way. The clear amber scales allow you to see right through the knife, through the skeletonized handle.The scales are also extremely light weight.

This knife if finished with a fold over style Kydex Sheath and can be fitted out with Soft Loop or DCC HLR Clip mounts. 

The Katsumata Series A is a film inspired knife based totally in reality, while its inspired by fiction it is 100% practical and usable for EDC.It is also limited to just 2 pieces which will not be repeated.
