The Sin Eater is one of our long serving Pikal models, and although it has been through a variety of updates over the years, it remains pretty true to. its origins. A longer blade, with a sleek profile and neutral grip, and this one is number 100!
The Sin Eater blade is one of our longest we make in our standard models, at a hair over 3.5″, made from thin steel stock with a single edge. The gentle inward curve gives you a lot of edge to pull through the cut with, while the blade tip remains robust despite its thinner and more lightweight frame.
The grip of the Sin Eater is very neutral, not forcing your hand into any particular orientation, while giving optimal retention through some basic ergonomics.
This is Sin Eater SN100, our 100th variant of this favourite model. It is also the first of our newest Generation in terms of design. Over the years we have had much feedback from our customers and those who love the Sin Eater, and have fine-tuned the design only slightly by extending the handle by about half an inch.
To celebrate this 100th version, we created this special Sin Eater. The blade is hand cut from W2 blade steel and has been heat treated with a clay hamon, then polished and etched to reveal the hamon. The handle has been clad in our Tsukamaki handle featuring a polished brass liner and matching pins, white bone fittings, antiqued samegawa and green silk tsukaiot to finish.
This Sin Eater is sheathed with a Fold Over style Kydex Sheath that readily accepts DCC HLR IWB Clips.
