The Sin Eater is one of our long serving Pikal models, and although it has been through a variety of updates over the years, it remains pretty true to. its origins. A longer blade, with a sleek profile and neutral grip.
The Sin Eater blade is one of our longest we make in our standard models, at a hair over 3.5″, made from thin steel stock with a single edge. The gentle inward curve gives you a lot of edge to pull through the cut with, while the blade tip remains robust despite its thinner and more lightweight frame.
The grip of the Sin Eater is very neutral, not forcing your hand into any particular orientation, while giving optimal retention through some basic ergonomics.
This is SN095, a custom made Sin Eater with our famous Tsukamaki treatment. The blade is Satin finished and hot blued to give a dark sultry appearance. The handle is a built up Tsukamaki handle with a base of polished Copper, with fittings of mirror polished Black Buffalo Horn. The Samegawa (Ray Skin) is black lacquered and the Tsuka-ito wrap uses matte black leather. The wrap is executed in the traditional method with hishigami and is extremely tight, and feels great in the hand.
This Sin Eater is water stone sharpened with a 6000 grit mirror polished edge, and sheathed with a Full style Kydex Sheath that readily accepts DCC HLR IWB Clips.
