Custom Oni

The One is the latest in our simplified, slim-line Pikal models. This is a lightweight, utility driven defensive knife that carries little in the way of frills and is named after the Japanese folklore monster of great strength and fearsome appearance.

The Oni is a Pikal blade, designed primarily for reverse grip, edge in application. Like most of our Pikal models, the Oni has a point that indexes naturally with a neutral wrist. The blade, though made from thinner stock, is ground with an asymmetric bevel, making the tip robust despite the lighter weight and slim feel. The edge is sharp for the job, as Pikal work is primarily point driven, this blade will definitely do the work.

The grip of the Oni is kept intentionally neutral, much like models before it like the Diavel, the neutrality gives it a level of versatility not seen on more intentional profiles. The Oni can be gripped in a multitude of ways comfortably, not excelling in any one specifically, but adaptable to all.

All Oni knives come with a basic Tsukamaki wrap. The base layer is resin coated micro cord with the top Tsukamaki layer being done in Silk Ito, which is also coated for some added durability. Handles are available in 3 colours including black, burgundy or dark green. The Oni is sheathed with a simple Fold Over Kydex sheath that can be suitably equipped with a Soft Loop or IWB clip of your choice.
