Custom Chimera – CH046

The Chimera is one of our earliest designs and is also one of our biggest Poikal models. A large frame, with much mass behind it and a robust point, all make the Chimera somewhat of a bulldozer!

The Chimera like all our knives sis primarily made from our house steel, 80Crv2, from thick. The blade is typically available as either a Single Edge Pikal with a swedge on the supporting spine, or a s a Double Edge blade. Regardless of the configuration the blade is ground with a flat grind on the Pikal edge to give it a sharp, slightly inwardly curved cutting blade, with the supporting edge primarily there to aid penetration.

Chimera CH046 is a practical, utility driven knife in our Tier 1 series. Aimed at the user who wants a no nonsense defensive tool whether it’s for daily concealed carry EDC or tactical usage. This Chimera is a single edge blade with a swedge on the spine which has been finished in a tough matte black Cerakote finish. The handle scales are hand textured and finished black Richlite in our Tsunami texture. Richlite is a tough, lightweight and stable material made from compressed, resin impregnated recycled paper. The texture and matte finish is non reflective and offers a comfortable and non slip grip.

This Chimera comes with a Fold Over Kydex Sheath and can be fitted out with DCC HLR Clip mounts, as well as other belt or tactical mounts. 

This is a simple and tough knife, perfect for defensive EDC purposes.
