The Yokai, this scary creature of Japanese folklore will certainly become someone's nightmare...
Yōkai (妖怪, ghost, phantom, strange apparition) are a class of supernatural monsters, spirits, and demons in Japanese folklore.
The Yokai was designed as an idea to create a small, concealable, light and multi-grip blade that was adept at creating opportunity. A small but scary option.
Like its name suggests, the Yokai is indeed quite scary despite its small stature. The semi-hooked blade is razor sharp and will slit without a moments hesitation. Being only quite small, around 2 inches in length, the blade remains quite index-able even in different orientations due to its tip alignment. This also makes it quite adept at stabbing, even with its unorthodox profile.
While ergonomics are always a high priority and something of a trademark, the design also does allow for a variety of usable grips. The Yokai is quite comfortable in both forward and reverse grip, and despite the way it looks, can even be used in Pikal grip quite comfortably. This makes the Yokai very versatile.
The Yokai comes with the expected high quality Kydex sheath, offering a very positive retention and secure carry solution that is comfortable to wear in both OWB or IWB, and concealable both ways too. A soft loop is provided as standard, but steel clips are also available.
